Champions are individual ambassadors for the RTIC effort in their community, working within their own organizations and institutions to build resilience.
The Role of the Champion:
Champions play two key roles in the RTIC effort:
- Leading the integration of resilience-building and trauma-informed care within their organization or area of work
- Engaging in collective systems change work with other Champions in the community
After initial ACEs education and participation in a Foundation Training, anyone can become an RTIC Champion. They are given access to additional educational and support materials, including facilitation assistance for in-house RTIC Foundation sessions. Regular Champion Development sessions provide education and skill-building opportunities as well as ongoing orientation to the RTIC effort.
