If your hearing is by Zoom and your hearing is on one of the standard intake calendars listed on the links below, you may use those links for directions on how to use Zoom and for the specific Meeting ID and Passcode for your hearing. 

IF YOU RECEIVED A CITATION GIVING YOU THIS WEBSITE FOR A 9:00 A.M. TUESDAY COURT APPEARANCE, PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY. EFFECTIVE APRIL 11, 2023, ALL TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. REQUIRED COURT APPEARANCES WILL BE IN PERSON. ZOOM WILL NO LONGER BE AN OPTION FOR THIS 9:00 A.M. CALENDAR. IF YOUR APPEARANCE IS PRIOR TO APRIL 11, 2023, PLEASE CALL 608-269-8745 FOR APPEARANCE INFORMATION.

1. If your court appearance is listed on your citation as NOT REQUIRED, you are not required to appear in any way for your court appearance. If you are not contesting your citation, you can use the information in paragraph 4 below to pay. If you do not file a written not guilty plea, you will be defaulted, found guilty and ordered to pay in full within no less than 60 days. A notice will be sent to you at the address on your citation. If you cannot pay the amount in full within 60 days, you can request a payment plan by calling 608-269-8745.

2. If your court appearance is NOT REQUIRED and you wish to contest your citation(s), your plea of not guilty must be entered in writing. Please use the link below labeled “Traffic and Forfeiture Plea Form” for this purpose. You are required to fill in all the information on the form until your signature line. For the Case No. please put your citation number from the upper right of your citation. The information below your signature is for the Clerk to complete. PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE COURTROOM FOR YOUR FIRST APPEARANCE ON YOUR CITATION EVEN IF YOU COME TO COURT. Your plea of not guilty may be mailed to the Monroe County Clerk of Court, 112 S. Court Street, Room 2200, Sparta, WI 54656, faxed to 608-269-8781, or dropped off at the address above. There is a drop box near the entrance of the Monroe County Justice Center for after-hours drop offs. Your written not guilty plea must be received by your court date.

3. If your court appearance is listed on your citation as REQUIRED, you must appear in person at the address listed on your citation.

We have included below the Zoom information for our Monday Criminal Intake Calendar, our Tuesday Criminal Traffic Calendar,  and our Bond Calendars that are held every business day at 1:00 p.m.  This only covers the calendars for the judge on intake at the time of the hearing.
