Economic Support Services
Economic Support Services determine eligibility for residents applying for public assistance programs in the Western Region for Economic Assistance (WREA) Consortium. We help you apply for or enroll in programs including:
- BadgerCare Plus
- Medicaid
- FoodShare
- FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) Program
- Childcare, Caretaker Supplement (CTS)

Childcare Certification: The Parenting Place provides free pre-licensing consultation as well as offers technical support and resources to childcare providers.

Western Region Economic Assistance: The WREA consortia is made up eight counties including Monroe, Buffalo, Clark, Jackson, La Crosse, Pepin, Trempealeau, and Vernon. WREA performs the eligibility determination and management functions associated with federal benefit programs, including Medical Assistance and FoodShare.
