Birth to 3 Program

BT3 Banner

The Birth to 3 Program serves children under the age of three with developmental delays and disabilities, as well as their families. The program works to enhance the child's development while supporting the family's knowledge, skills, and abilities as they interact with and raise their child. The goals of the Birth to 3 Program are to improve the capacity of families to meet the special needs of their child, maximize the potential for independent living, and reduce long-term costs through remediating delays with early targeted intervention.

Children are determined eligible through a developmental assessment.  In addition, some diagnosed conditions automatically qualify children for Birth to 3 services.  Birth to 3 is paid for through county, state and federal funding and insurance, if applicable.  Parents may have a cost share based on their income and family size.
