Youth Justice (YJ)

Youth Justice

The Youth Justice Program works with youth who are referred through law enforcement and the legal system due to delinquency or actions that would be considered a crime if committed by an adult (ie: disorderly conduct, theft, criminal damage to property) as well as habitual truancy and runaway or uncontrollable behavior.

We work to meet the needs of youth while assuring community safety.  An assessment is conducted to identify risk factors early on, including prior adjudications, peer group, participation in prosocial activities, level of remorse, drug use, educational goals, family discontinuity and family’s involvement in the criminal justice system to be effective in preventing juvenile delinquency and future criminal behavior.

We understand the importance of working with youth, their families, and their support systems to enhance and encourage success.

Call 608-269-8600 and ask to speak with a Youth Justice Professional if you have questions or concerns.
